Hi everyone! Carol here again with some important environmentalist updates.
As I’m sure many of you know, the draught in California is serious business. So when it was time for my family to start considering ways to cut down on water usage, we started looking into our water heater and distribution system…and what we found absolutely disgusted us! Not only is a water heater tank incredibly energy inefficient and wasteful, but stagnant water accumulates in the tank and has a tendency to absorb hard metals and everything other chemical that you DON’T want in your water supply—and feeds it right into your shower, bath, toilet and tap.
That’s right—not only are you wasting water, you’re wasting dirty water that you probably don’t want to be putting on or in your body, anyway. The good news, however, is that the solution isn’t even expensive: tankless water heaters. As far as I was concerned, we were just waiting for the old water heater to break before we had to replace it, but I wish I knew about the tankless variety sooner. We didn’t make the switch to a tankless water heater to save money; but it’s hard not to notice how much money we do end up saving with this on our utility bills. The design of a tankless water heater makes it so that there is no stagnant water, and no nasty chemicals; and the water heats up almost instantly! No more wasting water waiting for it to heat up, simply turn on your tap, step right in and you’re ready to go!
There’s no water heater like a tankless water heater. If you’re environmentally conscious and want to make an impact, ESPECIALLY if you live in California…strongly consider making the switch to a tankless water heater. You’re saving more than just a few bucks, you’re saving the planet!
See you next week with more green updates!!!
